Ultimate Frisbee – Monday June 10

Another great turnout last week! We started with running 2 games (a beginner game and a more experienced game) so newer players could get a chance to learn the game more thoroughly. Then we merged back into a single game with 7×7 with subs! Much fun was had. If numbers allow, we’ll do the same thing this Monday, too.

Our next game is this Monday, June 10 at Kelso Beach from 6pm to 8pm!

Ultimate Frisbee – Monday June 3

Another great turnout last week!

Our next game is this Monday, June 3 at Kelso Beach from 6pm to 8pm!

We’ll be starting with a few catching and throwing drills and either splitting into 2 games or running a half-speed game to give everyone a chance to learn some techniques of the game.

Not sure what to bring? Check out our FAQs.

We’re not the only group rained out!

Just heard from the city today regarding field usages. All city owned fields are still off limits.

Here’s what Owen Sound’s Manager of Parks & Open Spaces said yesterday:

Soccer complex is a week -2 weeks away from being ready. Still very wet there.

Duncan Park is shaping up fairly well. South and Major are ready for grooming and a grass crew will be on those ones tomorrow for a first cut.

Duncan North is still wet. It will be next week before it’s ready for grooming and grass cutting.

South and Major could be ready for games by the middle of next week despite the forecast.

Victoria Park is still not ready The surface layer is very soft.

The weather network is predicting 45mm of rain Wednesday which will make the rest of the week a washout.

I’ll be back on the fields next Monday to check again. Hopefully the forecast holds and we get a dry weekend.

I’ll visit the remaining sports fields and diamonds tomorrow and provide an update on those facilities.

The wait continues…
